Attorney Sarah E. Kay Tour Leader and Mock Trial Participant at HAWL Take Your Child to Work Day Courthouse Event

On April 27, 2017, Attorney Sarah E. Kay lead a courthouse tour and served as an attorney in a mock trial presentation as a part of the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers (HAWL) annual Take Your Child to Work Day event.  Sarah will begin her term as President of HAWL on June 1, 2017.  The attorneys of Sessums Black believe that a successful combination must include one’s education, legal practice, trial work, and public service.

Attorney Sarah E. Kay recognized for her Pro Bono Work

At the 13th Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee Awards Ceremony on April 20, 2017, Attorney Sarah E. Kay was recognized with other attorneys who donated 100+ hours of pro bono legal service in 2016.   As part of the recognition, Sarah was presented with a gold lapel pin as well as a letter from the Supreme Court of Florida which thanked her for “giving freely and unselfishly of [her] time and legal talent to represent the poor, the powerless, the defenseless, and the oppressed among us.”  In the letter, Justice Labarga commented “Your work helps to fulfill the promise of equal justice for all.” Click on the link below to read the letter.  Congratulations, Sarah!
