Karina Batista 18-Year Work Anniversary

Congratulations to Sessums Black receptionist Karina Batista, who is celebrating 18 years with the firm today! Karina joined the team in 2007 as an experienced reception and administrative assistant, after working in several different industries. She is Mexican and was raised in California, where most of her family lives. She attended the Southern California School of Interpretation with an emphasis on interpreting criminal proceedings.
Karina and her husband have two sons. They live in Apollo Beach and “absolutely love Florida.” Karina is bilingual in Spanish and English and enjoys gathering with family and friends, dancing, and chalk painting furniture.
Karina is the heart and soul behind the firm’s reception and hospitality program and is a respected colleague and friend. Thank you, Karina, for making a difference—and for all you do for the firm!

Jackie Urra Celebrates 3-Year Work Anniversary

Please join us in congratulating Sessums Black Administrative Assistant and Scheduler Jackie Urra, who is celebrating three years with the firm today! Jackie joined us in 2022—her second stint at the firm. She was previously with the team from 2005-2007. Jackie is a native of Tampa and attended Hillsborough Community College. She has experience in Family Law, Criminal Law, Nursing Home Abuse, and Business & Commercial Disputes. She lives in Riverview with her daughters and one little puppy.
