Child Centered Residential Guidelines
It can be challenging for parents to craft parenting plans that meet the ever-changing developmental and psychological needs of their growing children. The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers developed the Child Centered Residential Guidelines as a national model to assist parents, judges, lawyers, mediators, and parent educators in drafting child-centered residential guidelines which focus on the children’s unique best interests, in the hopes of helping to reduce parental conflict relating to timesharing of children.
